A collection of my thoughts, ideas, and everything else running through my head. Articles, videos, photos, and whatever else I decide to post will be here.

I have always gotten a little nervous when someone asks to see my previous work. It is not because I don't have anything to show. In fact, I have created a lot of different projects over the years. The problem is that my work is scattered across different places, folders, drives, and platforms. There has never really been one place where I can say, "Here is everything I have done."
That is one of the biggest reasons I wanted to create this blog.
This website will serve as my personal portfolio and a place where I can finally bring my work together. My interests are spread across broadcasting, video production, editing, photography, radio, and sports media, so my work does not always fit into one specific category. I actually like having that variety because it shows the different things I have been able to create and the different skills I have developed.
I also want this portfolio to show more than just finished projects. A lot of the work that goes into media happens before anyone ever sees the final product. There is planning, filming, recording, editing, rewriting, fixing mistakes, and sometimes completely changing an idea. I want to use this blog to show some of that process and give people a better understanding of what goes into my work.
Having everything in one place will also make it much easier to share my work with other people. Whether it is a teacher, a college, a potential employer, or someone simply interested in what I do, I will have somewhere I can direct them. Instead of searching through old files or trying to remember where I posted something, I can have my projects organized and ready to show.
This blog will also be something that grows with me. The work I create now is not going to be the same as the work I create a few years from now. By continuing to add projects and write about my experiences, I will be able to look back and see how much I have improved. It will become a record of where I started, what I learned, and where my interests take me.
Since this is a personal portfolio, the blog will simply use my name. I want the website to represent me rather than create a separate identity or brand. The design and overall theme will be clean, creative, and professional, while still feeling personal.
Most importantly, I want this portfolio to make me feel more confident about showing my work. Instead of being nervous the next time someone asks what I have created, I can simply send them here. Everything will finally be in one place.
